Dog Walker in Arts District, DTLA
Wide sidewalks, murals, and freight-loading streets that get busy with trucks. The Arts District is a fun walk, and it's a walk where we watch the curb.
Where we walk in Arts District
- Arts District Park, the small green space at Hewitt and 5th
- The paths and open areas around the Sixth Street Viaduct
- Quieter side streets east of Alameda, where the foot traffic thins out
We always follow posted park and leash rules.
Building access
A lot of Arts District homes are converted lofts with freight elevators, roll-up doors or keypad entries. Some are newer mid-rises with app-based access. We'll learn your entry routine at the meet-and-greet, so pickup is quick and calm.
Foot traffic and street notes
Weekend brunch crowds and mural photo spots can be a lot for shy dogs, so we plan around the busy blocks. Broken glass and construction debris can turn up near loading zones, so we keep eyes on the ground and paws clear.
Heat and paws
There isn't much shade along the warehouse blocks. On hot days we walk earlier or later, use the shady side of the street, and keep walks shorter.
